The OnePlus 7 Pro which is already being considered a beast, has the potential to be a beast when it comes to performance, but is the OnePlus 7 Pro a beast with respect to durability and surviving various durability tests of JerryRigEverything? Let’s find out.
OnePlus 7 Pro durability test
Renowned technology analyst going by the YouTube moniker JerryRigEverything has subjected the OnePlus 7 Pro to his usual multiple durability evaluations. These include the likes of a scratch test as well. Check out how the smartphone performed here:
Firstly, JerryRigEverything considered a blue coloured edition of the OnePlus 7 Pro flagship. Then there is the scratch test conducted:
JerryRig’s Scratch Test
In his usual scratch tests, JerryRig considers pricks with varying intensities to scratch the OnePlus 7 Pro’s display at various levels. Upon scratching the display, at varying levels, the displays shows scratches at level 6 (scratch level) and these become predominant at level 7 of the test.
The 16MP front camera – that is a pop-up motorized snapper – seemingly does a good job of protesting against scratches. The rear panel and the primary cameras are also scratched, and they seemingly hold their own against the forces. The smartphone’s fingerprint sensor also works despite being scratched (in moderation).
The burn test
When the OnePlus 7 Pro’s display is subjected to heating via a flame, the display held up for 50 seconds (and probably ore as well).
Bend test
In JerryRig’s bend tests, the OnePlus 7 Pro is subjected to evaluations both from the front as well as at the back. The device showed good resilience; probably one of the few to hold up as far as the analyst’s bend tests are concerned.
