Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain said on Wednesday the company has taken the game forward with MIUI 11. Jain was speaking at Redmi Note Pro 8 smartphone launch.

Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain said on Wednesday the company has taken the game forward with MIUI 11. MIUI 11 update brings Dark Mode support. What's more, Xiaomi claims it makes efficient use of AMOLED screen capabilities and brings new customisations to Always-on display. Commenting at the launch of Redmi Note Pro 8 smartphone in New Delhi, Jain said:
"We have taken the game forward with MIUI 11 with an even more enhanced user experience, the uber cool Dark Mode and an upgrade across several high utility apps and features."
Xiaomi also announced the Mint Keyboard for MIUI users, which supports over 25 Indian languages. MIUI 11 brings utility features like wireless file sharing, wireless printing, and more. In addition, the new step counter, period tracker and calculator have also ben added to the latest MIUI 11 software.
"We are especially thrilled about the Mint Keyboard on MIUI built especially for our Indian Mi Fans, supporting over 25 Indian languages," Jain added.

MIUI 11 features
MIUI 11 introduces a new font with dynamic font scaling feature called Milan Pro. It allows users to adjust font-weight as per their preference using a slider. It also introduces new dynamic sound effects resembling ambient sounds from nature. Xiaomi has added some new always-on AMOLED display presets.
Some new battery saving features are also being added, offering ways to reduce power consumption by limiting background app activities or in some cases, turning on the dark theme would also help. There is a cross-brand file transfer technology in collaboration between Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro
Available in multiple configurations, Redmi Note 8 Pro sports a 6.53-inch 1080p+ screen. Powering the device is MediaTek's new gaming-focused MediaTek Helio G90T SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM. It houses a 64MP main camera, alongside 8MP wide-angle shooter and two 2MP sensors. Up front, there is a 20MP selfie camera.
It packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
