It’s official. Xiaomi will launch its 64MP camera toting Redmi Note 8 Pro in India on October 16. The announcement was made on the sidelines of Xiaomi Redmi 8 India launch. Xiaomi had previously confirmed that it will launch the Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi Note 8 phones in India by the end of October – possibly around the festival of Diwali. It would be interesting to see if the October 16 launch date will see the vanilla Redmi Note 8 breaking cover for the Indian market.
Even though Realme tried to steal its thunder, Xiaomi holds the crown for launching the world’s first smartphone equipped with a 64MP camera – aka the Redmi Note 8 Pro. But it certainly won’t be the first brand to do that in India – the Realme XT with 64MP main camera is already available for buying in India.
We have received about 64 Million queries from an infinite number of Mi fans for this. 🤩
