Microsoft Edge browser's new, upcoming logo has Twitterati talking

Microsoft is all set to give the Edge browser fresh, new looks. Microsoft has revealed a new logo for the Edge browser that will be implemented soon. Microsoft's partner director of program management Vishu Nath who is in charge of mobile experiences and essential products, he made the announcement via Twitter. Nath asked on social media "How do you like our new Edge logo?," with the hashtag #ComingSoon.

"How do you like our new #Edge logo?? #comingsoon!" Vishnu Nath said in a tweet.

A few weeks ago in August, Microsoft announced that its Chromium Engine-powered Edge browser is ready for a stable beta release, after testing it for several months. Now, Microsoft is giving its browser a new logo altogether, which is significantly different than all previous Edge and Internet Explorer logos. It seems like Microsoft probably wants to do away with the prior branding, which somehow still connects users to the Internet Explorer era.

While it may still remind some users of Internet Explorer, the question you need to ask yourself is pretty simple: What would be your opinion if you didn't know that it belongs to Microsoft Edge in the first place? With this new, modern-looking logo, Microsoft is probably looking to streamline its branding with the new Office product icons and logos. We don't know yet when the finished version of the Edge browser will arrive. However, one thing is pretty certain. A finished version of the new, Chromium Engine-powered Edge browser will feature a new logo.
