S25 Ultra phone debuts but it's not from Samsung
The itel S25 Ultra and the S25 have arrived in the Philippines, succeeding over last year's S24 series.
Samsung's Galaxy S25 Ultra may take a few more weeks to come out, but for customers awaiting a phone with a similar name, itel has an option. The Chinese company has introduced the S25 Ultra alongside a vanilla S25 with interesting specifications, such as a curved display -- all for a price that will likely be lower than what Samsung's upcoming flagship phone would cost. But, more interestingly, the S25 Ultra has a design identical to the rumoured looks of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, not just its name.
The itel S25 Ultra and the S25 have arrived in the Philippines, succeeding over last year's S24 series. Although the new phones are a playful take on Samsung's flagship smartphones, they do not compromise on the features -- but only for the price segment.
itel S25 Ultra price
The new S25 Ultra from the company costs a starting price of PHP 10,999 (roughly Rs 15,878). The trimmed-down S25 starts at PHP 5,799, which is roughly Rs 8,700). The pre-orders for the smartphone are now live, but the sale date is unclear currently. The itel S25 Ultra comes in Meteor Titanium, Bromo Black, and Komodo Ocean.
itel S25 Ultra specifications
Featuring a curved AMOLED display, the itel S25 Ultra features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The smartphone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It has a 50MP main camera, and while it has additional cameras, the sensors of these cameras are unclear. The smartphone carries a 32MP selfie camera located in the punch-hole of the display. A Unisoc T620 chipset powers the itel S25 Ultra. That points out to an entry- to mid-level performance from the smartphone -- entirely opposite of what Samsung's upcoming flagship would likely offer. The itel S25 Ultra has an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance and packs a 5000mAh battery.
