Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscribers Can Now Stream Owned Games on Xbox Cloud
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can head to the official cloud gaming website on a supported browser to start streaming games on Xbox Cloud.
Microsoft is expanding the benefits of its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription with a feature that will let users stream owned games on the company's cloud gaming service. According to an update on the FAQ page for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, subscribers can stream as many as 50 titles they own, including the popular ones such as Hogwarts Legacy and the Final Fantasy franchise. However, Microsoft will expand the availability with more titles in future.
"Our library of cloud-playable titles will continue to grow, as we work with our partners around the world to bring you a diverse and expansive selection of great games across devices," Ashley McKissick, corporate vice president of Xbox Experiences and Platforms Engineering, said.
Having the ability to stream games from the existing Xbox game libraries allows subscribers to choose any compatible device, including large-screen televisions, smartphones, tablets, and PCs with a supported browser. Microsoft is also planning to add streaming support on Xbox consoles and the Xbox app on Windows next year, which will allow users to resume their games on a different Xbox console.
The titles eligible for cloud streaming include Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Baldur’s Gate 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022), Cyberpunk 2077, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, Final Fantasy VI, Hogwarts Legacy, NBA 2K25, Star Wars Outlaws, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
