Amazon is hosting its Great Indian Festival sale between September 29-October 4, similar to Flipkart's Big Billion Days sale. Amazon's limited-period sale will begin on September 29. The sale will start from midnight on September 29. However, Amazon Prime users will get early access starting 12 noon. The 6-day sale will end at 11:59 pm on October 4. Interested customers can expect wide range of deals and discounts on products across different categories, including consumer electronics, fashion, beauty, lifestyle and grocery products, etc.
Amazon's Great Indian Festival this year has a theme - 'Now budget won't hold back India's celebration.' With that said, Amazon will provide users with a wide range of payment options, including no-cost EMI, 10 per cent instant discount on SBI cards, exchange offers and more. Amazon users can start collecting rewards and offers worth Rs 900, ahead of the Great Indian Festival sale.
Amazon is also launching a new initiative called #AmazonFestiveYatra. As part of #AmazonFestiveYatra, Amazon will deploy three trucks that will visit 13 cities throughout the festive season. Starting from New Delhi, those trucks will move to Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad before ending its trip in Bengaluru. Through their journey, those trucks will engage with its customers and sellers in cities like Agra, Chennai, Indore, Kolkata, Kochi, Mathura, Mumbai and Visakhapatnam.
"#AmazonFestiveYatra will show how we continue to bring not just a massive selection and the best deals across all categories but also consistently bring the best of India together to ensure our customers can find everything they need and more, to celebrate the festivities. Amazon’s Great Indian Festival is important for us to bring the next 100 million customers online, many of them from tier 3 or even tier 4 towns," said Manish Tiwary, Vice President - Category Management, Amazon India.
Ahead of the Great Indian Festival sale, Amazon is expanding its supply-chain network to more than 1,400 delivery stations across the country. Amazon has about 23,000 retail outlets that carry out last-mile delivery stores under its 'I Have Space' programme. In related news, Flipkart recently on-boarded 27,000 Kirana stores under its supply chain, ahead of the Big Billion Days sale.
