Firstly, to stay safe, a fundamental trick is to travel and traverse territories within your squad. Hold the squad close to your chest. Then, exercise complete caution as and when you encounter strangers. Don’t kill them but do try and stay away from spurious elements. There is a chance that you might get slaughtered from weapons (by enemies) such as knives.
Then, take shelter behind abandoned aspects such as pillars and barns. You could even find mystery weapons here. Here, remember that sometimes offence acts as the biggest defence. To attack enemies, apart from waging war directly through guns, resort to throwing melee weapons such as pans. This weakens your target so that you could launch a potential ambush and kill them.
