How to avoid Avengers Endgame spoilers on WhatsApp

While you would know what sites to avoid so that you don't end up ruining your movie experience, after all, you did it for so many years, we'll tell you some tips to avoid Avengers: Endgame spoilers on WhatsApp. 

Block Marvel fans in your contact

One of the best way to avoid Avengers: Endgame spoilers is to cut all ties with Marvel fans on your WhatsApp list. After all, they are the first ones to watch all Marvel movies on the very same day they get released. So obviously, they are more likely to give away spoilers. In that case, all you can do is block Marvel fans you know on your WhatsApp. This way, you can avoid yourself from being exposed to Avengers Endgame spoilers on WhatsApp.

• Open WhatsApp.
• Go to More > Settings > Contacts > Blocked Contacts.
• Tap the plus icon (+) on the bottom of the screen.
• Select contacts you wish to block.

Almost all of them warned me against checking WhatsApp Groups. With groups, it’s very easy to target multiple users at the same time. That’s why most of the spoilers are often discussed in WhatsApp groups.

Customise group notifications

You can customise a group notification tone for messages. This is helpful when you are a part of some WhatsApp group that is likely to give away Avengers: Endgame spoilers. Go to your WhatsApp group > Tap on the group name > Custom notifications > Tick the option Use custom notifications > Notification tone.

Turn off media auto-download

Most of the spoilers come in the form of photos and videos. So, the easy way out would be to turn off media auto-download. This way, no photo or video will be downloaded automatically. Go to WhatsApp > More > Settings > Data and Storage usage. Under ‘When using mobile data’ and ‘When connected on Wi-Fi,’ simply select ‘No media.’

Turn off notifications previews

Similarly, you can turn off notification previews if you don’t wish to come across any Avengers: Endgame spoiler in the notifications and popups. Here’s what you need to do. Go to More > Settings > Notifications > Use high priority notifications. Disable the slider for both, WhatsApp groups and messages.

Switch to Telegram
