WhatsApp appears to be rolling out a new feature that allows users to share their WhatsApp Status updates as Facebook Stories and other apps. Back in June, WhatsApp started testing a feature that would enable its users to share their status updates to Facebook Stories and other apps. Now WhatsApp is finally rolling it out to more users. WhatsApp Status, Instagram Stories and Facebook Stories are ephemeral updates that vanish within 24 hours. In this tutorial, we'll see how these changes impact your WhatsApp experience and how to share WhatsApp Status to Facebook Stories and other apps with these simple steps.
How to Share WhatsApp update to Facebook Stories
-- As we always recommend, make sure your WhatsApp is up-to-date.
-- navigate to Google to Play Store or Apple App Store to see if your WhatsApp has received a new update.
-- Now, post a WhatsApp Status update. Go to WhatsApp and navigate to Status tab.
-- Tap on the pencil icon at the bottom to create a custom Status with text and emojis. You can share photos and videos from your camera roll.
-- Tap on the photo button at the bottom.
-- Once you post the Status, a new option will appear: 'Share to Facebook Story' Tap the option.
A dialog box will pop-up with the message: 'Allow Facebook to access photos, media, and files on your device?' along with two options - Allow or Deny. You must allow Facebook to access your phone's internal storage unless you don't wish to proceed further. In a nutshell, it will save your WhatsApp Status as a picture on your phone's internal storage. You will be redirected to the Facebook app.
You can customise who all can view your Facebook Story. You can choose from the following options: Public, Friends and connections, Friends. You can also hide your Facebook Story from specific people. After you share your Status update to the Facebook story, WhatsApp will reopen. The option to share WhatsApp Status update to Facebook Story will appear only if you have WhatsApp and Facebook or Facebook Lite apps installed on your phone. If you post multiple WhatsApp Status updates, you can choose which updates you want to share to Facebook Stories.
How to Share WhatsApp update to Instagram Stories
