Jack Ma took a final bow from Alibaba with a Rockstar performance as he played the guitar in a performance said to be witnessed by thousands of Alibaba employees in China. Jack Ma has now handed over reigns of the e-commerce company to current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Daniel Zhang. Jack Ma literally looked like the Rockstar, that he was at Alibaba. It is reported that he even shed a few tears when his own staff paid tributes to him through performances.  

Ma's final performance

At this event, there were also performers at this event, even dressed up in different costumes based on themes. They reportedly paid tribute to Ma for his achievements, and even for Ma’s penchant to dress up appropriately to perform at major events at Alibaba. “. As the ceremony wound up, towards the end stages, Ma and other major decision-makers at Alibaba donned custom Rockstar jackets and wigs to enthral the large crowd. Finally, Ma told the current Alibaba staff that he would be keeping a watchful eye on the e-commerce company’s societal initiatives, and the harnessing of futuristic technology viz 5G and Big Data. “What a wonderful world. With so many opportunities in it. I wish to work in new fields, Green Mountains won't change, the flowing water is endless. See you around,” told Ma to Alibaba employees. 

Ma looking at newer initiatives

With Ma now having left Alibaba to focus more on societal initiatives, it only becomes worth remembering all his inspirational quotes on life. The most famous, among these quotes, are - You need the right people with you, not the best people.” Then, there is this - “If you are still poor at 35, you deserve it.” Ma also strongly believes that there would be no competition between humans and computers from the point of view of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
