Samsung on Monday announced two new apps in India: Good Vibes and Relumino. With these new apps, Samsung aims to provide communication tools to the deaf-blind and visually impaired people in the country. We take a look at what these apps are all about. Developed in India, Good Vibes uses Morse code to convert vibrations into text or voice and vice-versa. This way, a deaf-blind person can use a combination of dots and dashes in order to send messages. Messages are then received as text or voice on the caregiver's app. Similarly, text or voice messages sent are received as vibrations in Morse code. The deaf-blind person can interpret these vibrations in morse code. Good Vibes can be downloaded from Samsung Galaxy Store and will soon be made available on Google Play Store.

"Over the last few months of training, the basic functionality of the app was tested and fine-tuned through their feedback. The notifications, text sizing, duration and interval of vibrations were improved upon after these workshops," he explained.
