SHOCKING: 19-year-old shot dead while filming TikTok video, three arrested
According to police, a 19-year-old was shot dead by his friend in Delhi while posing with a pistol to film a video on TikTok.
Of late, China’s ByteDance is facing legal trouble in India amid a looming ban on the popular video-sharing app TikTok. According to police, a 19-year-old young man was shot dead by his friend in Delhi while posing with a pistol to film a video on TikTok.
The incident took place near Ranjit Singh Flyover in central Delhi on Saturday when three friends Salman, Sohail and Amir went out for a drive. Salman and Sohail were seated in the front seats while Amir was seated in the rear seat of the car. Sohail pulled out a country-made pistol and aimed at Salman who was driving the car, to film a TikTok video. However, the pistol went off shooting Salman on his left Cheek.
However, instead of taking Salman to a hospital, Sohail and Amir drove to Sohail’s relatives' place in Daryaganj where Sohail changed his blood-stained clothes. Salman was then taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
A murder case and a case under the Arms Act have been registered at Barakhamba Police Station. Police arrested Sohail for firing the bullet while Amir was arrested for disposing of the weapon. Sharif who was not present at the spot when the incident occurred was arrested for disposing of the blood-stained clothes.
However, Police said they are further probing into whether the bullet was fired accidentally or with an intent to kill.
“Two of his friends came last night and asked him to go to Indian Gate along with them following which Salman took his car and left. We received the information about the incident from police and reached the hospital,” Salman’s relative said.
