Vivaldi has announced the launch of its mobile web browser. Vivaldi is now available to download for Android users. If you are interested, you can download the Android version of Vivaldi browser from Google Play Store. The customisation has always been one of the main highlights of the Vivaldi browser. And we are expecting the same thing with the Android version of Vivaldi as well. Apart from heavy customisations, Vivaldi is also known for its privacy features. Announcing the Android version of Vivaldi browser, here's what its co-founder and CEO Jon von Tetzchner had to say in his blog post:
"Our mission has always been to give you a browser that lets you do things your way and addresses real user needs. While we put you in control of your browsing, we do not track the way you choose to browse. And our vision for mobile browsing is no different," Vivaldi CEO Jon von Tetzchner said in his blog post. "Today, we’re really excited to release the beta version of a new, fully-featured browser for Android that we think rises to the challenge."
With the Android browser, Vivaldi now aims to offer a similar set of features and experience as the desktop counterpart. In fact, the company also says the new browser is a continuation of the desktop experience of Vivaldi. The company has opted for a cross-platform design approach so that the user experience will not differ drastically across devices. Here is how the interface will look like when you launch Vivaldi on Android and open a new tab.
Speed Dials
As far as the interface of the Android version of Vivaldi browser is concerned, you start with Speed Dials the moment you launch Vivaldi on your Android. This is similar to the desktop version of Vivaldi browser. Speed Dials tab showcase your favourite websites. You can organise the way websites are displayed. At the top, there is an address bar. You will come across the Vivaldi menu right next to the Address bar. Under Speed Dials menu, you can create and arrange folders so that it can organise your favourite websites accordingly. You can also arrange your favourite websites as per the category. For example, Technology, Gaming, Shopping, etc.
Other features
Apart from speed dials, there are some other interesting features as well. Vivaldi Android browser lets users browse both in Dark and Light themes. It also offers Notes feature so that you can take notes on-the-go. You can also switch between different search engines. For example, DuckDuckGo and Ecosia, etc. The browser does sync over end-to-end encryption across all your devices. Vivaldi Android has a built-in feature that lets users capture screenshots.
