WhatsApp consecutive voice messages: How to enable it right now
WhatsApp could be testing a new feature called ‘consecutive voice messages’ to let users play audio notes in series, without any interruption.
WhatsApp could be testing a new feature called ‘consecutive voice messages’ to let users play audio notes in series, without any interruption. According to WAbetainfo, WhatsApp has rolled out a new update to select WhatsApp beta users on Android. The update pushes WhatsApp beta for Android version to 2.19.86.
Prior to this update, WhatsApp users had to manually tap the play button for the next audio clip. That, however, changes with the latest update. Telegram supports consecutive messages in order to play audio clips one after the other. Now, a similar feature is headed to WhatsApp. This is expected to save a few taps while playing back-to-back audio messages. This will also reduce the interruption between the two messages.
According to the report, WhatsApp is also testing the next generation of Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature. Previous PiP update allowed users to watch YouTube, Facebook and Instagram videos without leaving WhatsApp’s chat interface.
With the latest update, WhatsApp users can easily switch between different chat windows or exit the app to your phone’s home screen, without interrupting the video playback. This was not possible in the previous update.
WhatsApp Consecutive voice message feature needs WhatsApp Messenger for Android beta version 2.19.86 for the server-sided rollout. According to the report, the improvements for the Picture in Picture feature are not available yet.
How to enable WhatsApp consecutive voice messages
Right now, WhatsApp consecutive voice messages feature is not available for general users. You need to be WhatsApp beta tester. So, go to Google Play Store and search for WhatsApp Messenger. Open the app listing > Scroll down > Become WhatsApp beta tester. You have to sign up to become WhatsApp beta tester.
Once you have successfully enrolled into WhatsApp beta testing program, update your WhatsApp to version 2.19.86. You can ask someone in your contact to send multiple voice messages. Play the first message. If it automatically plays the second message, the feature is available for you.
