According to reports, just a day after Microsoft launched its high-tech Surface earbuds, Apple ‘accidentally’ revealed it’s newly designed, yet-to-be-announced AirPods in its iOS 13 update. Codenamed B298, the latest version is hidden in the latest beta version of the software.

Speculated features

The design that was supposedly meant to be kept undercover accidentally came to light after they were found in the accessibility section of the Settings app as an icon. The new design apparently features a more snug earbud with noise-reducing cushions. Speculations abound that Apple is finally going to put its noise-cancelling feature to use with a "focus mode". Furthermore, the icon also showcases multiple listening modes. Experts suggest that the new design has been expected in the market for a while now, considering that Apple is known to upgrade models on the basis of changing technology.
