Flipkart Teases “#OnTheGo” Laptop-Tablet Hybrid: What Could This Point At?
E-commerce giant Flipkart has put up a new teaser indicating the launch of a new hybrid device. Now, release of this hardware is teased with the tagline #OnTheGo and gauging images put up by Flipkart, it seems that the device would be a tablet-laptop hybrid.

Also, this new hybrid could be a next-gen variant; Flipkart has not named the brand behind the device but it seems customized for Indian users. Here, won analysing the renders displayed by the e-tailer, the device seems like there could be a new Microsoft Surface tablet-laptop hybrid. These renders also seem similar to the Surface Go (on first looks) which has been released in the US where loyalists can purchase the device at $400 (Rs 29000 roughly).
However, there has been no official announcements from Microsoft India regarding the next-gen Surface Go launching in the country. Hence, it could be a tad premature to assume that the new hybrid device hinted at by Flipkart points at a new variant of the Surface Go hybrid. At this juncture, you could also share insights on what the #OnTheGo teased at by Flipkart could potentially hint at.
In related developments, Microsoft's Andromeda which is said to be a smartphone-tablet hybrid hardware is rumoured to be launched in 2019. This information has surfaced via a book authored by Broad Sams - a renowned journalist, called Beneath a Surface, the Redmond-based company’s launches in 2019 reportedly include a foldable smartphone cum tablet hybrid codenamed Andromeda.
At this juncture, technology enthusiasts have been believing that Microsoft’s successor to the Lumia smartphone range would be a foldable smartphone; hence, with rumours on Microsoft’s Andromeda having surfaced, there could be some next-gen device offering foldable displays, and more.
Along with the Andromeda hybrid device, there could also be a next-gen gaming device, going by rumour mills. As of now, Microsoft is confirmed to take part at the E3 2019 gaming conference where there could be “Lots to Share as far as its loyalists and the wider gaming community is concerned.
