Jio today announced the launch of JioFiber, the company's much-anticipated Fiber Home service. JioFiber will be available in 1,600 cities across the country. Last month, Mukesh-Ambani led Jio announced during RIL's 42nd AGM that JioFiber's commercial availability will commence starting September 5. Following Jio's significant disruption in India's telecom industry with its 4G mobile network service in 2016, the company is looking to make inroads into the country's broadband connectivity segment. JioFiber broadband service will start from 100 Mbps and go all the way up to 1 Gbps.

JioFiber monthly rental plans start at Rs 699 and go up to Rs 8,499 depending on your plan's strength and features. All Jio plans offer an initial minimum speed of 100 Mbps speed, up to maximum speeds of 1 Gbps. Jio says most tariff plans come with access to all the services such as highs speed data, free voice anywhere in India, TV video calling and conferencing, zero-latency gaming, content sharing between home and outside networks, device security, theatre-like personal experience on a VR headset, first-day-first show movies and exclusive sports-related content. JioFiber claims the minimum speeds of 100 Mbps and maximum speeds of 1 Gbps for all JioFiber monthly prepaid plans.

JioFiber monthly prepaid plans are divided into following categories: Bronze (Rs 699), Silver (Rs 849), Gold (Rs 1,299), Diamond (Rs 2,499), Platinum (Rs 3,999), Titanium (Rs 8,499). JioFiber Rs 699 and Rs 849 plans offer up to 100 Mbps speeds. While JioFiber Rs 699 plan provides high-speed data limit of 150GB, JioFiber Rs 849 plan has a data limit of 400 GB. Upon hitting the initial data limit, you can access the internet at FUP of 1 Mbps.

JioFiber Rs 1,299 plan offers monthly data of 750GB at maximum speeds of 250 Mbps. JioFiber Rs 2,499 plan provides monthly data of 1,500GB at maximum speeds of  500 Mbps. JioFiber Rs 3,999 plan offers 2,500GB monthly data at speeds of 1 Gbps. Last but not least, JioFiber Rs 8,499 plan provides 5,000GB monthly data at 1 Gbps speeds. All these plans come with data, voice, TV video calling, gaming, home networking, device security services. Only Diamond, Platinum and Titanium plans come with additional benefits like VR experience and premium content.
