OnePlus TV design, features
Design-wise, quintessential to OnePlus, the design is sleek and clean, it flaunts nearly bezel-less screen and a moving soundbar. It sports a 55-inch 4K QLED display with the colour range of NTSC 120%. The display also supports Dolby Vision and HDR+. It has 50W 8-speaker setup (four full-range front-facing speakers, two front-facing tweeters for the highs and two rear subwoofers for the bass), with support for Dolby Atmos.
OnePlus TV is powered by Android TV. It also has support for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. OnePlus Connect app provides users with additional control such as TypeSync, Quick App Switch, Smart Volume Control, Screenshots and more.

After six years of unwavering focus on smartphones, it’s a big step for OnePlus to diversify into a whole new product. And TV was deliberate choice and was they believe was the right answer to their question, ‘what OnePlus can bring to the table for the next 10 years’. Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus tells us, “After thoughtful consideration and long soul searching, we believe that we want to provide ecosystem products for the future and our first product beyond smartphone should be TV.” OnePlus has been working on OnePlus TV for the past two years and is currently only available in India. OnePlus plans to launch TVs in China, Europe, and North America, after getting the local and regional content providers on board.
OnePlus has certainly chosen a lucrative time to launch its new product in India right ahead of the festive season. It remains to be seen how consumers will respond to this new product from OnePlus considering it is a competitive market and OnePlus does come as a premium product. OnePlus TV series will be available from September 28 on their online partner Amazon.
