"India with Jio" - a new trend on social media
Hence, if you are a Reliance Jio user, what is your reaction to the telco’s latest ruling of levying 6 paise for every outgoing call minute. Remember that this is applicable to call made from Jio to other networks only. This is not applicable to intra-Jio calls. As far as social media trends are concerned, check out below Twitter trends. A cross-section of Twitterati seem to be completely fine with the 6 paise per minute outgoing calls to other networks, but this section seemingly desires “digital freedom”.

At this point in time, the position of incumbent telcos such as Airtel and Vodafone-Idea is unknown, with respect to passing on the burden of having to pay IUC (of 6 paise per minute) to subscribers. For now, Jio has also come out a list of custom IUC-driven tariff plans that also offer additional data. These packs from Rs 10 – for prepaid users and offer 1GB 4G data with 124 minutes of free outgoing calls to other networks.
