After Kumbh JioPhone Launch, JioBrowser Gets Enhanced Regional Language Support

JioBrowser which is seemingly custom-made for web browsing enabled through the Jio VoLTE network is now updated with regional capabilities which means that users can check out interfaces in their desired language. At this point in time, the JioBrowser offers support for 8 Indian languages viz Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Gujarati, and Marathi.

If you are a user of the JioBrowser, do check out the new updates by changing the default language from English. With this, content consumption should turn a tad friendlier whilst being customized. The JioBrowser is currently available at the Google Play Store for Android mobile users. The app, which is in the form of an ultra-small 4.8MB-sized file runs with minimum compatibility that is Android 5.0. This is also an apparent USP considering the fact that even comparatively old Android OSes would b compatible for the JioBrowser.

For the uninitiated, the JioBrowser offers key technical specification such as:

In related Jio news, Reliance Jio has launched a Kumbh JioPhone to cater exclusively to Kumbh Mela 2019 (Ardh Kumbh Mela) pilgrims. This phone is similar to the current-gen JioPhones, but the former offers multiple Kumbh-related functionality such as a custom lost & found feature which lets users track loved ones in cases of lost persons. Another USP of the Kumbh JioPhone is its compatibility with conventionally essential apps such as YouTube, WhatsApp, and Facebook.  

Key Kumbh-related functionality offered by the Kumbh JioPhone are:

• Full real-time travel-related information with respect to the Kumbh Mela 2019
• Details regarding maps and directions from and to important locations at Prayagraj
• Emergency helpline numbers
• Useful local guide information
• Information regarding Yatri Ashray at Stations
• Darshan of Kumbh festivities through JioTV application
• Customized Kumbh Radio with devotional audio playing round the clock
• First-hand information regarding updates (as and when these take place) with respect to the Kumbh
