Airtel 4G services could now theoretically be bolstered as the incumbent telco has started deploying the 900 MHz 4G spectrum across multiple telecom circles. This could boost the existing spectrum circles that is operational across Airtel’s telecom regions.

As per an India Today report, the 900 MHz spectrum would initially be deployed across multiple circles such as Karnataka, Mumbai, Rajasthan, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Assam, and the North East regions. Other regions are also reportedly slated to be covered soon.

If you are an Airtel 4G subscriber, do check out if you have been able to observe relative boosts within the 4G connectivity within your mobile devices. Naturally, this rollout would be phased which means that it would take significant time before the entire ambit of Airtel 4G subscribers (across telecom circles) are covered by the 900 MHz spectrum that boosts the existing 4G spectrum deployments.

Here, there is undoubtedly competition amongst Indian telcos with respect to both offering quality services as well as ensuring consumer retention; the latter is true considering the fact that there <>have been increased port-out requests (as of October 2018) and with multiple schemes such as annual recharge offers for prepaid subscribers shoring all indications of starting a new trend, it should do especially the incumbent telcos a world of good to ensure timely deployments of enhancements to benefit consumers across the country.

In related Airtel updates, the telco has made live its most anticipated annual recharge plan for prepaid subscribers which can be availed at Rs 1699 for 365 days. This scheme offers subscribers 1GB 4G data per day along with allowing free-unlimited voice calling and 100 free text messages in a day.

Like Airtel, Jio too has an annual Rs 1699 prepaid recharge plan that offers 1.5GB LTE data along with free voice calls and other related benefits. Even BSNL has an annual Rs 1699 plan that offers 1GB 3G data per day (with related benefits) valid for 365 days.
