Users of Xiaomi Mi A2, Mi Mix 2, and Mi Mix 2S could now check out a new Android 10 custom ROM. This could be used to test Android 10 experiences/features and to potentially report bugs (if any) to Google. At this point in time, Android 10 Custom ROMs could be flashed within these devices. Android 10 is live for a host of device including the likes of the Google Pixel series of smartphones.

As per the XDA Developers Forum, the Android 10 custom ROMs are now functional. When you flash the custom ROM, do remember to exercise caution wand backup all your data before beginning the process. Also, the Android 10 custom ROM for Mi A2 is the LineageOS 17. For the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, the Android 10 custom ROM is available in the form of the LineageOS 17 as well. For the Mi Max 2S smartphone, Android 10 would be in the form of the Pixel 3 ROM (as per XDA Developers). All three Mi smartphones are mid-range ones but have premium pricing.  

Unconventional Xiaomi offerings

In other Xiaomi related news, the China-based company is slated to release a Smart Mi Water Purifier in India on 17 September. Xiaomi states that the excessive hardness in water in India inspired the development of a Water Purifier. This to-be-released device follows Xiaomi’s unconventionality aspect range as the company not too long ago released a beard trimmer at a sub Rs 2000 pricing in India.
