Android Q Ends Google’s “Dessert” Treats
Android 10 is not Google Desserts. Android Q is also officially dead.

Android Q would no more throw up desserts to its users, as it would be officially called Android 10. Android 10 marks the end of Google’s dessert-names for its mobile operating systems (OSes). Android 10 would also introduce a refreshed look, Google says. The logo for the new OS also looks refreshing. The newest version of Android would be released in a few weeks, in the imminent future.
“This naming tradition has become a fun part of the release each year externally, too. But we’ve heard feedback over the years that the names weren’t always understood by everyone in the global community,” stated Google.

In summary, Google has formalized nomenclature of its Android OS, diverting away from its obsession with sweet dish names and desserts. In this regard, check out below reactions, from netizens – some of them surprising, on social media:

I think Android Q is just 10 because, they can't think of a Q dessert.

Android 10 is official, dropping the Dessert names. I had already done that years ago, I only pay attention to version numbers…unless it’s MacOS anyway.
