Asus is now rolling out the Android 10 update for the 6Z – ZenFone 6 in global markets – in India. The Android 10 update for the Asus 6Z is being rolled out in phases which means not every device will get it at the same time. The 6Z ships with Android 9 Pie out of the box.
The Asus 6Z, like the ZenFone 5Z before it, runs a clean, near stock version of Android. Asus calls it ZenUI but unlike the ZenUI from the past – before the ZenFone 5Z – Asus has greatly toned down on unnecessary features and unwanted apps or bloatware. The software inside is near stock Android with a few Asus tidbits thrown in – that remain largely unnoticed unless you really want to put them to use.
The ZenUI based on Android 10 will be no different. The 6Z is notably the first Asus phone to get the latest and greatest version of Android. Asus launched the 6Z in India in June at a starting price of Rs 31,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage going all the way to Rs 39,999 for the top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Asus 6Z will be also available with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage for Rs 34,999.
Here are the key changes/features that the new Android 10 update brings to the 6Z, according to Asus:
