BSNL 4G deployment soon, "Switch to BSNL" trends on social media

BSNL is again in the news as far as social media trends are concerned. The telco is again trending, under the hashtag, “Switch to BSNL” and this trend has been rising consistently. This comes after BSNL 4G was also trending very recently on the micro-blogging site. As of now, BSNL 4G services are hugely expected to be launched.

BSNL is expected, by its loyalists, as well as general smartphone users, to acquire full-fledged 4G spectrum soon. As of now, the state-led telco has started giving out 4G SIM-cards to new customers, as well as those preferring to port-in from other networks. As per rumour mills, 4G services have also gone line in certain telecom circles such as Maharashtra. Nonetheless, expectations for BSNL 4G services have now reached a crescendo. The services of the telco have now been trending consecutively on Twitter. Check out some tweets in this regard.  

At this juncture, Reliance Jio has made public its decision to impose 6 paise per second Interconnect Usage Charge (IUC) on users making calls to non-Jio networks. The telco has also come out with a list of IUC-specific recharge plans for prepaid customers. It states that it would also compensate customers with extra data. This trend is viewed by a certain section of telecom enthusiasts, as leading to a competitive trend from other telcos as well.
