BSNL Bharat Fiber Fibre-To-The-Home (FTTH) is now official and monthly payment plans start from Rs 777 offering unlimited downloads/uploads with data speeds being upto 100 Mbps. The Bharat Fiber is applicable to users across all telecom circles of BSNL on a PAN-India basis.

Now, BSNL’s new FTTH service undoubtedly competes with Jio’s FTTH offering that is yet to be made live across all regions in India. Now, under the BSNL FTTH broadband scheme, you would be required to shell out an additional one month of subscription plan charge as security deposit with the minimum hire period being one month. Once availed, users get to check out free unlimited incoming/outgoing calls to any network in India.

In addition to the above, you also have options to avail annual subscription as well as two/three year plans. Under the basic Rs 777 monthly scheme, the speed is 50Mbps till 500GB, with speeds decreasing to  2Mbps beyond 500GB.  Apart from the Rs 777 monthly scheme, other monthly schemes include the likes of Rs 1277, Rs 3999, Rs 5999, Rs 9999, and Rs 16999 respectively. The later schemes here are seemingly custom-made for the corporate scenarios rather than usage at home situations.  You could register for the Bharat Fiber by clicking here.

BSNL has for long been known as a major player in the broadband service domain; but the emergence of private operators viz Airtel, ACT, and now Jio FTTH had resulted in the state-run telco looking to dish out competitive schemes. The latest FTTH seems custom-made for the new generation of users preferring to indulge in increasing consumption of quality content.

Hence, BSNL now having taken the lead in rolling out FTTH services in India even before the completion of rollout of the Jio FTTH, it remains to be seen if the momentum is sustained by the former as it is still yet to fully join the 4G bandwagon in India that has seen the latter emerge as a dark horse from the last three years.
