JioPhone will be available at a discounted price of Rs 699 for Diwali

Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio is making the JioPhone available for a special, discounted price of Rs 699, as against the current, original price of Rs 1500. Interested customers can save Rs 800 without having to exchange their old phones. This is part of Jio's plans to provide potential JioPhone customers with some Diwali discounts. The offer is termed 'JioPhone Diwali 2019' offer. The limited-period offer will remain valid for the duration of Diwali and Dussehra.

Jio said the discounted price of Rs 699 for JioPhone is 'far lower than many of the current 2G feature phones in the market.' It also said the final barrier that prevented feature phone users from upgrading to 4G is now eliminated.

JioPhone customers availing the Diwali 2019 offer will receive benefits worth Rs 700. Jio will provide users with complementary data worth Rs 99 for the first 7 top-ups. Jio said this will help users consume more entertainment and perform other important online activities such as e-commerce, education, bus/train bookings, etc.

JioPhone customers can avail total benefits worth Rs 1500. In addition to the savings of Rs 800, users get additional benefits worth Rs 700, resulting in the total benefits worth Rs 1500. Jio says benefits worth Rs 1500 is Jio’s Diwali Gift for 'a prospering digital India.' Jio is encouraging 2G users to make the most of Jio's 'one-time' limited-period offer, which is available during the festive month and upgrade to the JioPhone platform.
