Xiaomi is the most selling smartphone and consumer electronics brand in India. Xiaomi Global recently announced the revival of their flagship note phablet lineup, the MI Note Series. At a Keynote event in Madrid, Spain, Xiaomi unveiled their latest offerings, the Mi Note 10 and the Mi Note 10 pro. The Mi Note 10 and it's pro variants are successors to the 2017 flagship phablet lineup the Mi Note 3 and the Note 3 pro. Xiaomi has coupled the smartphones with cutting edge technology, and a Penta-camera setup for the first time. Here are the key specifications of the Mi Note 10 Pro, that has been announced for the global markets:

Mi Note 10 Pro – Key Technical Specifications

Cellular Reception:

The Mi CC9 Pro (Chinese Variant), technically the Mi Note 10 Pro (Global Variant) is a flagship offering from the Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi. The smartphone will officially support all the leading network bandwidth’s and will run any global carrier that covers the specific bandwidth spectrum. The Mi Note 10 Pro also offers dual sim connectivity, with dual stand-by support for people who use multiple sim cards. The smartphone will only accept Nano sim cards.

Display:

For the display of the Mi Note 10 and the Mi Note 10 Pro, Xiaomi has decided to go with a Super AMOLED touchscreen panel that supports up to 16 million colours. The display will have a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, with a screen to body ratio of 87.8%. The display panel will be full HD in resolution with a pixel density of 398 pixels per inch (PPI). The company has decided to couple the 6.47” display with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection from accidental drops and damage. The display panel will support a max brightness of 600 nits, which would be sufficient for excellent daylight visibility, and the display will also come with the latest HDR 10 support.

OS and Chipset:

The smartphone will launch with the 2018 iteration of Google’s smartphone os, Android. The smartphone will run on the latest version of Xiaomi’s custom skin, MIUI, the MIUI 11. The Mi Note 10 Pro will be coupled with the latest offerings of the Snapdragon 700 series, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 and the 730G. The chipset is based on the 8-nanometer architecture and will feature 2x2.2 gigahertz Kryo 470 Gold cores and 6x1.8 gigahertz Kryo Silver cores. The Mi Note 10 Pro will be powered by the Adreno 618 GPU, for exceptional gaming performance. The smartphone will be coupled with 8 Gb ram and 256 Gb internal storage and will ditch the support for external memory.

Cameras:

For the first time, Xiaomi has decided to go with a Penta-camera setup for the smartphone. The smartphone will feature a 5 camera setup with a 108 mp camera (8P lens technology) primary camera, a secondary 12-megapixel camera, 5 mp camera (upscaled to 8mp), 20 mp ultrawide camera and a 2 mp lens (dedicated macro camera). The cameras will support HDR and will have a quad-led dual-tone flash coupled with it. The Mi Note 10 camera setup will also support Laser autofocus, PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization and Optical Zoom. The cameras of the Mi Note 10 Pro will support 4k video recording at 30fps, 1080p recording at 30/60/120/240 fps, and 720p recording at a whopping 960p fps. The selfie camera of the Mi Note 10 pro will feature a single 32 mp lens, with a video recording capability of 1080p at 30fps (frames per second).

Connectivity:

In terms of connectivity, the Mi Note 10 Pro will feature an 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band wifi, with support for Wifi Direct and Hotspot. It will have support for Bluetooth 5.0 with the latest A2DP, LE and aptXHD driver support for better audio outputs. The smartphone will also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack for people who like old school connectivity.

The smartphone will also feature A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO,  BDS for navigation, and will also have support for FM radio. The terms of the physical ports, the smartphone will have an Infrared port and will support USB type C reversible connection and USB 2.0 for charging and data transfers. The smartphone will also support NFC for data transfers and payments.

Sensors:

The Mi Note 10 Pro will support all the primary sensors needed by a smartphone since it is a bleeding-edge piece of technology. The smartphone will also have an optical in-display fingerprint sensor for better security as well. Some of the other significant sensors include proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, gyroscope and magnetometer.

Battery and Sound:

The smartphone will come packed with a 5260 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery, that will help the smartphone have enough juice for the entire day. The smartphone will support fast battery charging with a 30 W charger, that will technically charge the Mi Note 10 pro from 0 to 58% in 30 mins and a full charge will take 65 mins. The smartphone will also feature an active noise cancellation microphone for better audio quality and cellular reception, and it will feature a 24-bit, 192khz audio output for the audiophiles out there.

Colours, Availability and Pricing:

The Mi Note 10 Pro will be shipped globally in three colour variants, the Aurora Green, the Glacier White and the Midnight Black. Xiaomi announced that the Mi Note 10 Pro will be launched for the European markets and Global Markets on November 14, 2019. There is no official information regarding the smartphone's launch in the Indian market. The smartphone will ship with a price tag of 650 Euros, which roughly translates to 51k Indian Rupees.
