Micromax’s Comeback WIth The Infinity N Smartphone: Watch Livestream Of Launch, Would The Smartphone Stand Up To Chinese Brands?

It was known that local band Micromax would be launching a smartphone on December 18. The company had teased this launch on social media with the tagline #AboveTheRest. Now, Micromax’s new smartphone is all set for unveiling at 12 PM IST; which is not too far away from now. The new handset would be a member of the Infinity N series.

Here, it is worth noting that the USP of Micromax’s yet to be launched #AboveTheRest (Infinity N) smartphone is that, this handset is expected by hardware Micromax loyalists to offer next-gen performance and functionality within affordable prices; it is worth remembering that not too long ago the company was known for affordable smartphone offering relatively premium functionality; and Micromax had even seemingly succeeded as it was closing in on Samsung which was then the leader with respect to smartphone shipments in India.

As far as the latest Micromax smartphone is concerned, rumour mills are intensely hinting at the handset falling into the sub-Rs 15,000 category whilst offering competitive technical aspects. Also, going by the teaser image (Micromax had teased this), it is evident that there would be a display featuring the notch pattern.

In the Indian smartphone market, there has undoubtedly been  Chinese domination as far as smartphone sales and shipments are concerned; brands viz Samsung and Apple are having to catch up with these brands.
