HMD Global today unveiled Nokia 7.1 in India. Nokia 7.1 is priced at Rs 19,999 and it will be available to buy across all mobile retailers, in addition to Nokia’s own e-commerce platform, starting 7th December. The key highlight of this handset should be its PureDisplay featuring a notch. Nokia 7.1 features a 1080p resolution stretched across a 5.84-inch panel alongside Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

As far as the launch offers are concerned, Airtel is offering 1TB high-speed 4G data on select prepaid plans including Airtel Rs 199. Airtel postpaid users, on the other hand, get 120GB data benefits alongside complimentary subscriptions of Netflix (3 months) Amazon Prime (12 months) on plans that cost Rs 499 onwards.

From the pictures, bezels are clearly visible and it kind of flaunt a thick-sized chin at the bottom which could a dealbreaker for design enthusiasts. The handset weighs 160g and weighs 7.9mm in thickness, which seems to be pretty much on par with other handsets at a similar price out there.

Internally, there’s a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core chipset coupled with Adreno 509 GPU for graphics. It carries 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage and hybrid dual-SIM slot. Although it runs Android Oreo, it can be upgraded to Android Pie right out of the box.

To recall, HMD product chief Juho Sarvikas had recently announced Android Pie rollout for Nokia 7.1. Like all the Nokia phones launched in 2018, this one too falls under Google’s Android One program.

As for cameras, Nokia 7.1 houses a 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras with dual LED flash, ZEISS optics lens, EIS and more. Up front is an 8MP front-facing shooter for selfies. This one packs a 3,060mAh battery under the hood.
