There could be a Nokia 8.1 Plus global edition launching soon and this smartphone is rumoured to feature a 48MP rear camera. The handset is also speculated to be unveiled during an event on 2 April in Taiwan.
As per newer rumour mills, the Nokia 8.1 Plus global edition could be launched in Taiwan as the Nokia X71. In synchronization with this, a MySmartPrice report, quoting leaks (and other reports) states that there would be an event on 2 April that could apparently witness the unboxing of Nokia X71. This event is also apparently set to witness the launch of the Nokia 9 PureView (only in Taiwan).
Now, these reports add substance to earlier rumours that were speculating the arrival of the Nokia 8.1 Plus. This, once true, could do a world of good considering the fact that the Nokia 8.1 is currently a popular smartphone in India that is priced at Rs 27000.
Also, the rumoured Nokia 8.1 Plus (a.k.a Nokia X71) could feature a dual camera setup towards its rear. There is also rumoured to be a 6.22-inch display offered by the smartphone. Also, the handset could be driven by the more newer Google Android 9.0 (Pie) operating platform.
Other key technical specifications of the speculated Nokia 8.1 Plus are yet to even surface at this point in time; these could come to the fore (even unofficially) in the near future. At this juncture, with the Nokia 8.1 being an important smartphone, it is only worth taking a look at the key aspects of this handset, specifically:
- 6.18-inch edge-to-edge display
- Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system - directly out of the box
- Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC
- 12 MP + 13 MP dual rear cameras
- 20 MP front snapper
- 4GB, 6GB RAM
- 64GB, 128GB internal storage variants
