The OnePlus 7 Pro is coming. OnePlus is gearing to launch its first true-blue flagship phone on May 14. OnePlus has been building quite a lot of hype around it, particularly the phone’s fast and smooth ‘breakthrough’ display which is supposedly going to be the best in the industry. OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus 7 Pro will pack UFS 3.0 storage – it could be the first smartphone in the world to do that. Additionally, the OnePlus 7 Pro will also sport three rear cameras.
While there’s still a lot to look forward to, a fresh leak has revealed every hardware spec of the upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro ahead of launch. The leak drops key pricing info as well, leaving nothing to the imagination - much to OnePlus’ dismay. While it is advisable to take this leak with a pinch of salt, many of the specs mentioned have already been doing the rounds of the rumor mills – only corroborating things further. Not to mention, it helps draw the full picture of what could OnePlus’ most expensive and most premium phone to date.
As per the leak, the OnePlus 7 Pro will come with a 6.67-inch ‘fluid’ AMOLED display with a 3120x1440 pixel or QHD+ resolution. The key highlight will be its 90Hz refresh rate – which is probably why OnePlus maybe using the term ‘fluid’ here. There’s also an in-display fingerprint scanner and a pop-up selfie camera that should entail in a full-screen experience.
Unsurprisingly, the OnePlus 7 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage which will be non-expandable. The OnePlus 7 Pro will be available in as many as three configurations – 6GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB. The dual-SIM phone will run Android Pie-based OxygenOS and pack a 4,000mAh battery with 30W USB Type-C Warp Charge – there's no word on wireless charging. There’s no word on a 3.5mm audio jack as well, although the OnePlus 7 Pro is said to come with stereo speakers.
On to the optics, the OnePlus 7 Pro will come with three rear cameras – a primary 48MP camera with Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.6 aperture and OIS, a 16MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and 117-degree field-of-view, and an 8MP camera for 3x optical zoom. On the front, the OnePlus 7 Pro will come with a pop-up 16MP camera with a Sony IMX471 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and EIS.
As far as dimensions are concerned, the OnePlus 7 Pro will measure 8.8mm in thickness and weigh in at 210 grams.
As for pricing, the OnePlus 7 Pro will reportedly start at Euro 699 (roughly Rs 54,750) for the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, going all the way to Euro 819 (roughly Rs 64,175) for the top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB will reportedly cost Euro 749 (roughly Rs 58,683). As per the leak, the 6GB/128GB variant will be available in Mirror Gray (alone), the 12GB/256GB variant will only be available in Nebula Blue. The 8GB/256GB variant of the OnePlus 7 Pro will reportedly be available in three colours – Mirror Gray, Almond and Nebula Blue.
