OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition teased, may launch on October 10 

The upcoming OnePlus 7T Pro is set to get an exclusive McLaren edition as well like the OnePlus 6T from last year - so it seems. OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau has taken to his Twitter handle to tease the upcoming product and while the tease doesn’t necessarily confirm anything, connecting the dots does paint the full picture. But since OnePlus is yet to confirm or deny the existence of both the OnePlus 7T Pro and its McLaren Edition, this is all speculation for now.  

In his Twitter post, Pete Lau has shared what appears to be the retail box of the upcoming OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition. The box has an all-familiar carbon fiber finish with orange accents, seemingly confirming what it signifies – the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition is coming soon. Possibly on October 10. OnePlus is gearing to launch the OnePlus 7T series in London on October 10 where it is likely to announce the global reveal of the OnePlus 7T Pro. OnePlus has already launched the OnePlus 7T in markets like India, and it is highly likely that the OnePlus 7T Pro (should it happen) will arrive in India soon enough, possibly soon after its launch on October 10. 

Like the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition is also expected to be a limited edition of the upcoming OnePlus 7T Pro. The OnePlus 6T McLaren edition came with a carbon fiber finish with orange accents (not to mention, a stylized McLaren logo etched on the back), 10GB RAM and Warp Charge 30 which was claimed to offer 50 per cent charge in 20 minutes of charging. All this also translated into a higher price tag – the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition was the most expensive OnePlus phone at launch. Something similar will be expected from the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition as well. 

For some perspective, he OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition with carbon fiber finish with orange accents, 10GB RAM, 256GB storage and Warp Charge 30 was launched in India for Rs 50,999.  

OnePlus 7T Pro rumoured specs

As for the OnePlus 7T Pro, rumour has it that it will come with a 6.65-inch 2K AMOLED display and 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is also said to come with Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 855+ processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. Battery capacity is said to be 4,085mAh. On to the cameras, the OnePlus 7T Pro is said to come with three rear cameras – a 48MP main, an 8MP telephoto for 3x zoom, and a 16MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, the OnePlus 7T Pro is said to come with a 16MP camera.
