Poco F2 has been making the headlines for last few days. In what could be good news for those waiting for the Poco F1 successor, a popular concept designer Benjamin Geksin shared a concept render revealing what the upcoming Poco F2 could look like. For starters, the concept design of the upcoming Poco F2 resembles the Xiaomi Mi Play to a great extent.
According to a concept design render, Poco F2 is more likely to feature a waterdrop notch design above the display, unlike the Poco F1. Last year’s Poco F1 came in with a wider display cutout to accommodate a 20MP front-facing camera for selfies, an earpiece, a front-mounted LED flash and an ambient light sensor. With Poco F2, however, Poco is expected to focus on a single camera and a barely-visible earpiece.
If the design concept is anything to go by, Poco is likely to follow in the footsteps of Oppo, OnePlus and many other brands to implement a similar-looking waterdrop notch style. This year, we are also expecting punch-hole selfie cameras to take the whole smartphone industry by storm.
Coming back to Geskin's concept of Poco F2, up front are minimum bezels around the surface area. On the rear, it shows dual cameras, a fingerprint reader and Poco branding. Rumoured specs of Poco F2 suggest that it would run Android 9 Pie based software out of the box. How the actual design of Poco F2 turns out to be is something only time will tell.
In related news, Xiaomi is all set to launch a new phone -- reportedly Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 -- which is believed to offer a 48MP camera.
