The Xiaomi foldable phone has come to the fore yet again, after being spotted on intense rumour mills previously. Now, the smartphone has surfaced via a video that seemingly shows off a folding prototype for it along with the ability to uniquely fold.
Firstly, gauging the video (posted on Chinese social networking site Weibo), it is apparent that the smartphone would offer a double folding prototype for users (once it goes official). Also, when fully opened, the smartphone shown in the video (the purported Xiaomi foldable handset) resembles that of a compact notebook which could also be used as a table, and then folded back to resemble a smartphone displaying no folding signs.
If you look at the video above, the handset clearly comes off as a double folding device. Now, this design prototype is seemingly unique when compared to the recent Samsung Galaxy Fold which could be folded only in a single direction inwards. At this juncture, there are also rumours about Samsung having an outwardly folding phone in its pipeline.
As of now, the above Xiaomi double folding handset is yet to be officially announced by the company. It should be no surprise for Xiaomi to join the folding smartphones bandwagon in the imminent future. Don’t you think so?
