Oppo spin-off brand Relame has launched the Realme X2 Pro – its first high-end flagship phone designed from ground up to take on the likes of the OnePlus 7T and the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro. It may seem like the Realme X/Realme X2 and Realme X2 Pro are related in some way but they’re not and that’s the beauty of all these Realme phones as each offers something compelling over the other. In the case of the Realme X2 Pro, it’s its high-end spec sheet that sets it apart from the Realme X and Realme X2.

Not that any of it is a surprise. Realme has been dropping the phone’s specs on social media for a while now, confirming almost everything from screen refresh rate to chipset to the kind of fast charging it would come with – and it’s safe to say that the Realme X2 Pro doesn’t disappoint. Also, the Realme X2 Pro maybe a China-only affair for now but Realme has confirmed that it will launch the phone in India in December.

Realme X2 Pro specs and features

Speaking of specs, the Realme X2 Pro comes with a 6.5-inch 1080p+ display with a waterdrop-style notch. The phone supports HDR10+ and boasts of a 90Hz refresh rate like the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. Under the hood, the Realme X2 Pro rocks a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.0 storage (non-expandable). The phone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with 50W SuperVOOC fast charging support which is claimed to top up 80 per cent of the its battery in just 30 minutes.

On to the cameras, the Realme X2 Pro comes with four rear cameras – a 64MP main camera, a 13MP telephoto camera for 2x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 115-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP portrait camera. On the front, the Realme X2 Pro has a 16MP camera.

Speaking of design, the Realme X2 Pro has a glass and metal sandwich design with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front as well as on the back. The phone will be available in Ocean Blue and Midnight Silver colours as well as two Master Editions in red and grey.

Realme has launched the Realme X2 Pro in China at a starting price of CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs 27,200) for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage going all the way to CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs 33,250) for the top-ene variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
