Switch to BSNL became a trend once again on social media after Reliance Jio’s move to increase tariff pricings came to the fore. It stated that it would work out appropriate measures to increase tariffs over the next few weeks even by complying with TRAI regulations. As soon as this development surfaced, all eyes seemingly turned towards BSNL.

Now, as soon as the above came to fore, netizens took to BSNL virtually Here, it is worth remembering that BSNL’s revival has been announced by the central government. This includes relief packages and monetization of assets. Also, BSNL has resorted to offering free calls to even erstwhile MTNL circles and has not announced any sort of tariff increase for now. In this regard, check out below certain netizen (Twitterati) reactions favouring BSNL. 

 At this juncture, BSNL is also said to have gained subscribers during the month of September 2019, while incumbent telcos viz Airtel and Vodafone reportedly lost more than 49 lakh users. This data as per TRAI also reported an increase in subscriber count for Reliance Jio. During this time, BSNL reportedly added 7.37 lakh subscribers whereas Jio is said to have added nearly 69 lakh users during September 2019. Even earlier in the year,  "Switch to BSNL" was hugely trending. This came after a comparatively long time.
