Vivo has launched the Nex 3, its next generation take on the all screen and no bezel smartphone. If Vivo’s number claims are anything to go by, the Nex 3 might just be the most bezel-less phone that there is in the market today – yes, the Nex 3 isn’t a prototype, but an actual phone that Vivo will be shipping in China (to begin with) from September 21 and the Asia Pacific, Southeast Asia and other markets in the coming months. Whether or not Vivo will bring the Nex 3 to India is something only time will tell. 

Coming to those number claims, Vivo says the Nex 3 offers a screen-to-body ratio of a whopping 99.6%. That’s made possibly courtesy Vivo’s all-new Waterfall FullView Display that literally spills on to the sides – at an angle that’s near 90 degree. The screen extends to the edges to such an extent Vivo had to do away with any physical buttons on the sides. Like the Apex 2019 concept, the Nex 3 also comes with a pressure-sensitive outer frame that responds to touch.  

Vivo Nex 3 5G specs and features

Speaking of core specs, the Nex 3 has a 6.89-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080p+ resolution and in-display fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, there’s Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855+ processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The phone comes with triple rear cameras arranged in a circle – a 64MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide and a 13MP telephoto camera. On the front, the Nex 3 has a 16MP pop-up selfie camera. The Nex 3 is further backed by a 4,500mAh battery with 44W fast-charging support.

Vivo Nex 3 5G price

Vivo has launched the Nex 3 5G in China at a starting price of CNY 5,698 (roughly 57,500) for the variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant of the phone will be available for CNY 6,198 (roughly Rs 62,500).
