Vodafone Rs 1499 unlimited plan now apparently phased out, check out
It seems that the Vodafone Rs 1499 plan applicable to prepaid users, roughly last year, is now phased out. This was an unlimited calls plan. Check out.
It seems that the Vodafone Rs 1499 plan applicable to prepaid users, roughly last year, is now phased out. This plan was an annual offer, possibly applicable to select prepaid customers of the telco. It offered free calls daily limited to 250 minutes each day, plus 1 GB 4G/3G data, along with 100 text messages.
The Rs 1499 plan
Validity of this plan was 365 days. Now, it seems that this plan has sunstetted. Neither does the offer appear on the online eRecharge portal of Vodafone nor at the MyVodafone application /app) recharge section. In fact, users who we spoke to also stated that they had not received messages indicating the activeness of the Rs 1499 plan.
Now, Vodafone has the Rs 1699 prepaid plan which is valid for one year and offers unlimited calling along with 1 GB of 4G data per day. USP of these plans, for the uninitiated, is their long validity, saving users from the hassles of having to recharge repeatedly every month to even retain their prepaid Vodafone numbers. The now seemingly phased-out Rs 1499 plan was worth every paise considering the benefits it offered. At this juncture, it only makes sense for Vodafone to bring back the plan. With discussions around unlimited calls and non-unlimited free calls being a hotly discussed topic, now could be an ideal time for the telco to announce a second coming of the Rs 1499 offer.
In related news, Vodafone has made it clear that it would keep unlimited calls as it is to all networks, and would not pass on the burden, of having to pay for each outgoing call made to another network, on subscribers. Even Airtel and BSNL (rival telcos) have resorted to a similar move. Hence it is now on TRAI to decide these aspects, by keeping only consumer interests in mind, isn't it?.
