Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is back in the news after Flipkart was spotted teasing the handset featuring more powerful Snapdragon 660 chip. Flipkart seems to have fixed it now. To recall, Xiaomi India launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro successor last month featuring Snapdragon 636 chip under the hood. Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro costs Rs 13,999 for 4GB of RAM and goes up to Rs 15,999 for 6GB RAM variant.
Here’s what happened. A well-known tipster Ishan Agarwal shared what appears to be a screenshot taken from Flipkart’s website. According to Agarwal’s tweet, Flipkart briefly teased Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro with Snapdragon 660 processor leading to widespread speculations that Xiaomi could be planning to introduce another variant of Redmi Note 6 Pro.

Digit cited Flipkart as calling it a mistake by own design team. However, we don’t know for sure at this point whether Xiaomi has plans to release a Snapdragon 660 variant of the Redmi Note 6 Pro. We reached out to Xiaomi India but the spokesperson denied to comment.
Specs-wise, Redmi Note 6 Pro is more value for money than Redmi Note 5 Pro. If you are already a Redmi Note 5 Pro user, you could jump to this newest edition only if you are looking out for a stronger camera. Design-wise, it resembles Redmi Note 5 Pro to a great extent with certain changes here and there. Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro flaunts narrow bezels and a chin below the display.
