The year 2019 would be pretty exciting for Xiaomi! We have been hearing a lot about the upcoming Xiaomi phones these days. In what could be a live image, Xiaomi upcoming Redmi smartphone has appeared online suggesting an imminent launch.
From what it looks like, the leaked Xiaomi Redmi 7 Pro flaunts a waterdrop notch design above the display similar to that of OnePlus 6T, Oppo F9 Pro and Vivo V11 Pro. Apart from that, the handset seems to feature a minimum bezels design on the front. This comes just days after a mysterious Xiaomi phone which is believed to be the Redmi 7 Pro was found listed on a Chinese certification website TENAA.
If you recall, Xiaomi released the Redmi 6 Pro in China that eventually relaunched as Mi A2 Lite in India. Hence, we can safely assume that Redmi 7 Pro is likely to be the Mi A3 light outside China. Recently, a number of Xiaomi handsets - M1901F7E, M1901F7T and M1901F7C - cleared 3C certification.
Xiaomi Redmi 7 Pro specifications
The TENAA listing reveals the phone’s dimensions 147.76×71.89×7.8mm. The Redmi 6 Pro, on the other hand, measures 8.8mm in thickness. It packs a 2,900mAh battery under the hood. It also sports a 5.84-inch screen. It sports dual rear cameras and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. There is no clarity on the build material and the version of Android OS, though.
A few days ago, Xiaomi teased about a 48 MP camera phone and in related news, Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 was spotted in a leaked teaser. As per the teaser, the Redmi Pro 2 could feature a Snapdragon 675 processor, which indeed supports up to a 48MP snapshot. It also supports 4K video recording at 30 frames per second (fps).
Xiaomi is also set to launch a new Xiaomi Play smartphone series ahead of this Christmas. Xiaomi Play smartphone series is likely to coexist with the company's Redmi and Mi series smartphones. The company's upcoming rumoured entry-level Android Go smartphone has been making quite a few headlines these days.
