Notable figures include Ismail Haniyeh, assassinated in Tehran, and Faud Shukr, Hezbollah's commander, killed in Beirut. Other key Hamas leaders like Saleh al-Arouri, Ahmed Yassin, Abdel-Aziz al-Rantissi, and Adnan al-Ghoul also met similar fates in Israeli strikes. The U.S. forces have eliminated ISIS leaders such as Khalid 'Aydd Ahmad Al-Jabouri, Usamah Jamal, Usamah al-Muhajir, and Abdulqadir Mumin in Syria and Somalia. Additionally, Iran's top military commander, Gen Qasem Soleimani, was killed in a U.S. strike at Baghdad airport in 2020.
