In an all-out diplomatic standoff between India and Canada, the Modi government has withdrawn India's High Commissioner to Canada after Justin Trudeau's series of diplomatic blunders against India. India has called back its ambassador Sanjay Verma, who will return to India. Other members of the diplomatic staff of India who are facing Khalistani threats in Trudeau's Canada have also been recalled. The govt of India's decision to withdraw the Indian ambassador to Canada comes after the Modi government summoned the Canadian envoy in New Delhi. India has responded with swift action, calling out Trudeau's govt's support for extremism, violence and separatism against India. MEA S Jaishankar has called Canada's charge as "preposterous imputation" and called it as support of extremism.
