Tropical Storm Beryl made its landfall in Texas on July 08. The storm brought with it heavy rains, strong winds. Hours after landfall, Beryl weakened from a Category 1 hurricane to a tropical storm. Texans undertook the cleanup process once the storm was downgraded. The storm caused power outages for over 2 million homes and businesses. As per Texas Lt. Gov, the storm toppled 10 transmission lines. As per the Lt. Gov, additional workers to help get the lights turned back on quicker.
