Amarnath Yatra began on June 29, with pilgrims leaving the base camp for darshan of holy cave. Pilgrims began a sacred journey to the shrine at 12,756 feet amidst chants and conch shells. The first batch with 4,603 pilgrims had reached the Kashmir valley on June 28.
