Sabarimala Shocker: Water from toilet tap served to pilgrims visiting Kerala temple

In a shocking incident in Kerala, a shop in Erumely near the Sabarimala temple was caught serving tea and ‘nimbu paani’ made from tap water from a nearby toilet. The exclusive visuals shot by a Republic TV reporter exposed the shop. The shop owner is related to CPIM and was operating the shop while violating the license norms. However, Ker la Police had not filed a case against the shop owner Abdul Shemin yet. A stop memo was issued against the shop after an inspection by Revenue and Health department officials. The Sabarimala Sree Ayyappan Temple is a Hindu temple in the state of Kerala that is devoted to the worship of a deity named Ayyappan, also known as Dharma Shasta.
