Speaking to Republic, Asian Games 2023 Gold Medal winner Neeraj Chopra talks about the controversy that unfolded over his first attempt during the event. His throw appeared to land near the 87-meter mark but wasn't recorded. During a recent visit to Hyderabad, Neeraj Chopra also talked about his feeling after winning another gold medal for India, his passion for javelin and his thought on future of sports in the country. Olympic and World champion javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra defended his Asian Games title with a season's best throw of 88.88m. Kishore Jena also came up with his personal best of 87.54m to bag silver. A huge controversy erupted when Neeraj's first attempt was not measured. It seemed he had comfortably cleared the 85m mark. But to his surprise the effort was not recorded by the officials and he was not given any reason for that. Jena also had his second throw invalidated for crossing the line but the decision was later reversed.  View this post on Instagram A post shared by Republic (@republicworld)
