The 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League ( IPL ) auction will be a mega one, as franchises will get to retain only a few players and then build squads from scratch. This time around, however, the event could be held overseas - with the UAE emerging as one of the BCCI's favoured destinations to hold the event. The prospective dates for the event are also rumoured to be either in November or December later this year.
