Caught on Cam: Telangana Man Saved Moments Before Jumping into River in Dramatic Rescue

Bhadrachalam: A man was rescued from a suicide attempt on the Godavari River bridge in Bhadrachalam, Telangana. Footage of the dramatic incident shows a young man preparing to jump off the bridge to end his life on Sunday.  

According to reports, the man was saved due to the quick actions of two journalists. They noticed the man sitting on the edge of the bridge and appearing distressed. When they approached and asked him why he was there, he revealed his intention to end his life. Despite their efforts to engage him in conversation and dissuade him, he repeatedly warned them not to come closer.  

The video, which has since surfaced online, captures a crucial moment when a friend of one of the journalists intervened. Passing by on a bike, he stopped, parked it, and quietly approached the man from behind while the journalists kept him distracted. He then grabbed the man, pulling him back from the edge, as the journalists rushed to assist.  

The man was later identified as Anand, a resident of AMC Colony in Bhadrachalam. Reports suggest he was struggling with financial and family issues, which had driven him to consider suicide.  

The journalists promptly informed the police and the man’s family about the incident, ensuring he received the necessary support.
